Premiere of The Painted Pen™
On April 22 & 23, 2006, the E.M. Adams Gallery will host a weekend event like no other. The premiere of the Painted Pen will take place during a weekend event entitled, A Celebration of the Writing Arts.
The Painted Pen is a series of unique, hand painted pens designed by Ed Adams and made into fountain pens, roller ball, and ballpoints by master pen maker, Barry Gross. These are beautiful, unusual, and functional works of art that will provide collectors with an E.M. Adams painting in their hands.
In addition, the weekend will host numerous demonstrations and gallery talks about various aspects topics like pen making, book binding, calligraphy, writing papers, and other topics of interest to the writing enthusiast.
Ed authored an article for Stylus Magazine entitled, “Quest for the Spirit, The Psychology of Collecting Pens.” Stylus is a high quality international publication devoted to fine writing instruments. Ed will have a limited number of signed copies of the magazine available throughout the weekend.
